My Background
Hello! My name is Michelle Hope.
I am a fully qualified Integrative Relational Counsellor.
I am extremely passionate about what I do. I believe that we all deserve to be listened to and understood and to be able to talk about emotional, behavioural, or psychological problems, in a safe and non-judgemental setting.
My training encompasses different theories, including:
-
Person-Centered
-
Gestalt
-
Transactional Analysis (TA)
-
Attachment Theory
-
Psychodynamic Approaches
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
-
As well as creative interventions and mindfulness techniques
All this gives me a strong foundation to help my clients work through many different situations.

My Approach
I am a warm, supportive, and compassionate counsellor who has had success in helping clients with a wide range of issues including:
Improving depression and low mood, understanding and overcoming anxiety, coming to terms with bereavement, grief, and loss, improving relationship issues, self-harm, low self-esteem, and anger management.
My counselling approach is to start by building a safe, trusting and accepting relationship with you. I offer a warm non-judgemental space allowing you to share whatever is troubling you.
I believe everyone has the ability and potential to be in a happy, healthy and rewarding relationship.
However sometimes this may feel difficult and feelings of anxiety, anger, low self-esteem or disconnection from others may cause you to feel stuck in patterns or beliefs about yourself.
